Jungle Jo comes to Hawthorne
As part of our enquiry in the Autumn Term Jungle Jo came in to show her different animals and insects that live in the different layers of the rainforest. The children loved seeing them and most of them had a go at holding them.
Robotics at Hawthorne!
As part of the Festival of Science, Nottingham University came in to our school to teach our Year 5's Robotics. They had a fun day constructing their MBot2's and then getting it to work on a track. They also got to see other robotics in action.

HIIT Workout
Mr Smith has been taking them through their paces with a HIIT workout in Spring 1. The children loved it and adapted their different exercies to increase thier own fitness levels. Well done!
